Deputies arrest 3 over weekend

Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office made several arrests over the weekend. Two of the arrests involved drivers who were driving while their licenses suspended. Another arrest involved a Mason County Friend of the Court violation. The activity of the MCSO from April 18 to April 20, 2014 is as follows:

April 18: 

– 7 a.m. Car/deer crash, no injuries, Lendale and Ivanhoe streets, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 7:20 a.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Gordon and Osborn roads, Amber Twp.

– 1:43 p.m.: Malicious destruction of property to a vehicle, 300 block of South Meyers Rd., Amber Twp.

– 5:50 p.m.: Car/turkey crash, no injuries (except the turkey), Conrad and Brye roads, Amber Twp.

– 6:55 p.m.: A 24-year-old Fountain man was arrested for DWLS first offense and an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Clare County following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Tuttle Rd., Custer Twp.

April 19: 

– 12:02 a.m.: A 28-year-old Fountain man was cited for open container following a traffic stop at State and Reinberg streets, City of Scottville.

– 3:45 p.m.: Larceny of a handgun, 4900 block of South Darr Rd., Eden Twp.

– 5:55 p.m.: Car/deer crash, no injuries, U.S. 31 and Freeman Rd., Grant Twp.

– 6:34 p.m.: Gas drive off, $55.61, Airport EZ Mart, U.S. 10 and Pere Marquette Hwy., Pere Marquette Twp.

– 10:45 a.m.: A 55-year-old Free Soil woman was cited for failure to stop and an identification violation following a single vehicle crash, no injuries, Michigan and West streets, Village of Free Soil. The driver allegedly left the road and struck a house and then left the scene.

– 11:52 p.m.: A 25-year-old Fountain man was arrested on a Mason County Friend of the Court warrant after deputies responded to a “disturbance” in the 5900 block of East Fountain Rd., Sheridan Twp. Bond was set at $3,497/$13,989 arrears.

April 20: 

– 10:19 a.m.: Attempted breaking and entering to a residence, 6100 block of South Lakeshore Dr., Summit Twp.

– 2:01 p.m.: A 35-year-old Chicago man was cited for DWLS following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Gordon Rd.

– 8:39 p.m.: A 41-year-old Branch man was arrested for DWLS third offense following a traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Campbell Rd., Branch Twp.
