MCC forensics competes in regionals, off to state

SCOTTVILLE –Mason County Central High School forensics team recently competed in regionals on March 27. As a result, the team will bring 23 events with 29 students to the state finals in May at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.

“I’m very proud of this year’s team,” Coach Tom Richert said.

1st place Regional champs were:

Silja Backmann, Ashleigh Mccabe, Abbie Berringer,  Kaitlin Dwyer,

Allie Johnson, Connar Klock, Bethany Anderson, Isaac Messeder, Kaci Clayton, Carleigh Davis, Manny Fintikis. Margaret Alway,

Harmony Jenson, Inken Diederzen, and Authumn Richardson.

2nd Place:

Hana Smith, Wynn Petersen, Giulia Marselli, Kari Clark. Jessica Nehm, Emma Chasse,

3rd Place:

Jason Michevich, Morgan Muyskens, Katelyn Allen,and  Corinne Davis.

4th Place:

Antreas Fintikis, Trever Skinner, and Sarah Wurtz
