PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — Five people were involved in a two vehicle crash on North Jebavy Drive around 3:40 p.m. this afternoon. The crash occurred when a black Ford pickup truck was pulling out of 174 N. Jebavy Dr. and was struck in the side by a red Ford pickup that was heading southbound. The black truck then rolled over once and landed upside down.
The driver of the red pickup was a 34-year-old Ludington woman who was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries. Her 12-year-old daughter, a passenger, was not injured. Another adult male passenger was also not injured.
The 25-year-old male driver of the black truck, also from Ludington, was also transported by ambulance to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. His 6-year-old passenger, who was in a booster seat, was not injured.
Mason County Sheriff’s Office deputies on the scene said the driver of the black pickup was being cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. Also responded were Pere Marquette Twp. and Ludington fire departments.
Jebavy Drive between U.S. 10 and Johnson Road were closed for about 30 minutes as a result of the crash.
