79th District Court sentences as of March 12

LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:
– Kathie Sue Card, 52, of 4677 E. Fisher Rd., Custer, was found guilty March 6 of driver transporting open intoxicants. She was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Douglas Andrew Wilson, 51, of 4677 E. Fisher Rd., Custer, was found guilty March 6 of open intoxicants in a vehicle/passenger. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Crandel Lee Smith, 50, of 920 N. Harrison St., Ludington, was found guilty March 6 of unsecure load, failure to tarp, spill and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Patrick Allen Shira, 20, of 504 E. Danaher St., Apt. 4, Ludington, was found guilty March 6 of violation of instruction permit and sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Matthew Caleb Petersen, 30, of PO Box 204, Ludington, was found guilty March 6 of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Roy Michael Johnson, 43, of 5991 S. Queens Hwy, Chase, Mich., was found guilty March 10 of disorderly person – jostling. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one days served; $580 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and must have an evaluation with Work It Out regarding anger issues.
– Reenya Bilal-Clinton Burrell, 22, no address listed, was found guilty March 11 of domestic violence and sentenced to 40 days in jail with credit for 40 days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must complete Hands Down Program or similar anger management program; no contact with the victim; and $607 in fines and costs. One count of malicious destruction of personal property was dismissed.
Dismissal
– Tobey Maxwell Cook, 40, of 17291, Spring St., Wellston, one count of motor vehicle operate without security was dismissed March 4 per a plea agreement.
