Art center offers tween/teen workshops

March 9, 2014

LUDINGTON – Ludington Area Center for the Arts will be offering after school workshops aimed at teens and tweens.  Wednesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 24 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Students ages 12 and up are invited to drop in and be creative in fun arts workshops, play around with art, experiment with different materials and explore many artistic media.

The March 12 workshop is dedicated to drawing and cartooning.  Learn different techniques for turning scribbles into works of art. The March 24 workshop will focus on fun with yarn and fabric-art. Find out how creative you can be using only your fingers and hands.

The workshops will be held on the second floor of LACA in the Craft Room.  Pre-registration with signed parental consent is required.  Please call 231-845-2787 ext. 11 or send an email to manager@ludingtonartscenter.org.

The workshops are offered free of charge, however donations from workshop participants are encouraged and appreciated.

Community members who wish to volunteer as workshop mentors or helpers for this program are welcome and encouraged to share their gifts of time and creativity with young people in our area.  Sponsorships by local businesses and community members are requested to help LACA offer this vital program for area youth on a continuing basis.  For more information, please call 231-845-2787 ext. 11 or send an email to manager@ludingtonartscenter.org.
