Environmental consultant next in “Water” series

wscc logoVICTORY TWP. –West Shore Community College’s semester long series of events on the many ways water impacts our lives and about the ways our lives impact water will continue on March 12, at 12:30 p.m., in the North Lounge of the Administrative and Conference Building with a presentation on how businesses can successfully negotiate environmental and regulatory issues involving water.

Jay Poll, a senior Hydrologist and Project Manager with Lakeshore Environmental, Inc., brings 14 years of experience as an environmental consultant in applying sound scientific principles to matters of environmental contamination, regulatory compliance, and natural resource use.

“Our company understands that water is a precious natural resource necessary for life, business, and recreation. To improve the quality and long-term sustainability of this resource, we provide innovative and practical solutions that improve the environment, conserve water, and encourage responsible recreation,” says Poll.

Located in Grand Haven, Lakeshore Environmental is a privately owned environmental engineering and consulting firm recognized for providing a diverse range of services available to the agricultural, residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors, including wastewater discharge.

Organizers of the college’s water related events are encouraging the community to attend and to learn how businesses can obtain permits, prevent spills, monitor impacts, and engineer solutions to all sorts of environmental challenges.
