The snow has started coming down as the area is in the middle of a winter storm advisory, which remains in effect until 4 a.m. Tuesday. The National Weather Service is calling the storm Rex and it covers most of the Midwest. Snowfall rates of a half inch to one inch per hour are expected until 9 p.m. Monday with a total snowfall accumulation of 4 to 6 inches.
Today’s high temperature is expected to reach 21 degrees with a low tonight of 19. Winds will be southeast at 20 mph today and north-northeast at 11 mph tonight.
Tuesday, partly cloudy with a high of 36 F; winds, south-southwest at 10 to 20 mph. with a 20% chance of precipitation. Tuesday night’s low will be 26 F with a 30% chance of precipitation. Winds, west-southwest at 12 mph.
