11 sentenced in District Court

LUDINGTON — The following defendants were sentenced in 79th District Court this past week:

–       Dyllon Eugene Kissell, 19, of 1713 W. Kinney Rd., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 30 of driving while license suspended (DWLS). He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for one day served; $285 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Renee Lynn Malkowski, 42, of 5432 W. 6th St., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 28 of impaired driving. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend and complete the next session of the Victims’ Impact Panel; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) one time per week for six months; and $1,145 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Gabriel Isaiah Austin, 40, of 510 N. Emily St., Apt. K, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 30 of DWLS. He was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs and 30 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Michael Scott Kanouse, 20, of 17993 3 Mile Rd., Hersey, Mich., was found guilty Jan. 30 of under 21 – purchase, consume and/or possess. He was sentenced to $265 in fines and costs; 15 hours community service; and must complete Victims’ Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Kaleigh Jean-Marie Labenne, 18, of 2834 Trepaiver, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 30 of under 21 – purchase, consume and/or possess. She was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; eight months probation; and 20 hours of community service. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Tracy Lynne Moody, 51, of 1857 Kennedy Blvd., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 3 of controlled substance – drugs, false pretenses. She was sentenced to $580 in fines and costs.
–       Christopher Todd Bower, 43, of 3784 W. Hidden Forrest Dr., Ludington, was found guilty Feb. 3 of failure to display a valid license. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $275 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Jennifer Leigh Klotz, 37, of 204 Second St., Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 28 of operating while intoxicated, second offense. She was sentenced to 92 days in jail with credit for two days served; work release allowed; $1,545 in fines and costs; outpatient counseling; one year discretionary jail for two years; Soberlink for one year; must attend AA four times per week for two years; must provide proof of disposal of vehicle; no alcohol/drugs; and subject to random Preliminary Breath Tests (PBTs). Conviction reportable to SOS.
–       Brandon Joseph LeClair, 28, of 1068 Brandy Lane, Lot 54, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 28 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend the Hands-Down Program; and $580 in fines and costs.
–       Jaralee Chaloux Sobers, 30, of 412 Thornwild Dr., Apt. A2, Scottville, was found guilty Jan. 28 of second-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend Economic Crime Program; and $580 in fines and costs.
–       Westley Myrl Clough, 25, of 203 Harrison St., Apt. S, Ludington, was found guilty Jan. 28 of controlled substance, possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; one year discretionary jail for two years; and no alcohol/drugs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of DWLS and one count of improper registration/failure to transfer/ unregistered were dismissed.
Dismissal
–       Mario Carter, no address or date of birth listed, one count of assault was dismissed Jan. 29. “Defendant entered plea on related charge,” court records state.
