Man arrested for assault using a gun

PERE MARQUETTE TWP. — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 21-year-old Flint man, following an incident involving a gun. The incident took place Sunday, Feb. 2 at 143 N. Jebavy Dr.

During an investigation deputies learned the reported assault involved two subjects wearing masks who had reportedly pointed a gun at the victim. The alleged suspects fled prior to arrival of law enforcement.

On Tuesday, sheriff’s detectives, with the assistance of Michigan State Police troopers from the Flint post, served four search warrants in the Flint area and gathered evidence in the case. The result was the arrest of the 21-year-old man, whom MCSO deputies transported back to Mason County where he was charged with felonious assault and felony firearms.
