SCOTTVILLE — Scottville Department of Public Works crews have been working throughout the day to fix a water main that broke over the weekend. The break occurred near Lundquist’s Furniture just south of the intersection of Main Street and James Street. The crew had been working with the water pumping, but about 4 p.m. needed to shut down one of the lines. As of posting, at 4:12 p.m., the North Main Street line between Broadway and Beryl Street, and from Maple Street west of Main Street, has been shut down. City Manager Amy Williams said the crew is working as fast as they can to repair the line and restore water service. MCP will post on its Facebook and Twitter sites when water is restored.
