superior electric 250Weather observers have reported that the area has received over 100 inches of snow so far this winter, what’s couple more?

The area in under a winter weather advisory until 10 p.m. tonight. An accumulation of 2 to 4 inches is expected with strong southerly winds, 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph, are expected. More blowing and drifting snow may occur. In addition, roads are most likely going to be slippery with low visibility at times.

The storm will start out with light to moderate snow developing in the early afternoon. Until then, conditions are cloudy with strong and gusty winds, south-southwest at 25 to 30 mph. High temperature today will be 29.

Tonight, low temperature will be 14 with a 60 percent chance of snow.

Friday, there is only a 10% chance of snow with cloudy skies and a high of 17. Winds will decrease to 9 mph from the west. Friday night, mostly cloudy with a low of 11 and a 20% chance of snow.

Weekend: It looks like we may get a break with only a 30% chance of snow on Saturday and non forecast for Sunday. In fact, the National Weather Service is calling for next week to be a fairly calm week.
