Wind chills to reach -30 tonight and Tuesday

Mason County and surrounding areas are under a wind chill warning from 4 p.m. today until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Bitter cold wind chill temperatures may reach 10 to 20 below zero through early afternoon then down to 20 to 30 below from mid-afternoon Monday through Tuesday night.

The area is also under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. this evening. The area will see more blowing and drifting snow with an additional 1 to 3 inches of snow possible.

High temperature today is expected to be 3 degrees F with a 60% chance of snow. Tonight’s low will reach 0. Wind today will be northwest at 19 mph.

Tuesday, blustery with snow showers. Wind chills may approach -20 with a high of 4. Winds, west-southwest at 20 to 30 mph; 50% chance of snow.
