LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in front of Judge Richard Cooper in 51ST Circuit Court:
– Jeremy George Villarreal, 35, of 921 N. Lavinia St., Ludington, was found guilty Oct. 22 of third-offense operating under the influence of liquor (OUIL), accident to fixtures, and failing to maintain security. He was sentenced Jan. 17 to two 330-day jail sentences with credit for two days served and one jail term of 90 days with credit for two days served (counts are concurrent); serve four months up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 24 months probation; $4,792.14 in fines, costs and restitution; 60 days community service; six months Soberlink after up-front jail sentence; and driver’s license revoked. One count of driving while license suspended (DWLS), second offense, was dismissed.
– Nicole Lynn Kaiser, 25, of 214 E. Danaher St., Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 19 of controlled substance deliver, less than 50 grams, and two counts of controlled substance delivery, schedule 1, 2, 3. She was sentenced Jan. 14 to three concurrent terms of 365 days in jail with credit for 88 days served; serve eight months up front with balance to be served at the court’s discretion; 24 months probation; $1,174 in fines, costs and restitution; and driver’s license suspended 30 days/restricted 150 days. Counts of controlled substance, delivery/manufacture, schedule 4, and habitual offender, second conviction, were dismissed in a plea agreement.
– Dennis James Horn, Jr., 43, of 8443 Virgil St., Dearborn Heights, was found guilty Nov. 19of failure to pay child support. He was sentenced Jan. 14 to one year in jail with credit for 96 days served; serve 96 days up front with the balance to be served at the court’s discretion; must comply with all Friend of the Court requirements; five years probation; and $584 in fines and costs.
– Charles Wayne Lyle, 72, of 151 Wildwood Run, Apt. 7, Ludington, was found guilty Nov. 26of two counts of criminal sexual conduct (CSC), second degree, person under 13 years, and habitual offender, fourth conviction. He was sentenced Jan. 14 two concurrent terms of a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of 30 years with the Michigan Department of Corrections (MDOC); $266 in fines and costs; and is subject to lifetime electronic monitoring. – Lowell Eugene Fetters, 66, of 707 N. Delia St., Ludington, was found guilty but mentally illNov. 27 of one count of assault with intent to murder, one count of felony firearms, one count of malicious destruction of fire/police property, and four counts of assault – weapon. For Count I, he was sentenced Jan. 14 to 16-50 years with MDOC; two years in prison with credit for 567 days served for Count II; for counts III through VII, one year, 11 months to four years for each count. Count II is to be served consecutively to the other six counts, which are concurrent. He must also pay $6,138.46 in fines, costs and restitution. – Dalton James Willard, 918 high St., Apt. 2, Manistee, was found guilty Nov. 20 of CSC, first degree, person under 13 years, and kidnapping. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 25-35 years and nine to 35 years with MDOC. He was also ordered to pay $2,011.44 in fines, costs and restitution. He is subject to lifetime global positioning systems (GPS). See related story here.
