Manistee Co Press looking for reporter

Manistee County Press is looking for a reporter. The candidate must have journalism experience, a flexible schedule and an entrepreneurial spirit. Ideally, the candidate should also have political, geographical and historical knowledge of Manistee County.

This person must also have an active knowledge of social networking, a basic understanding of photography and experience with the Internet. The candidate must also own a laptop/tablet and a smartphone.

We are especially looking for coverage of Manistee courts, law enforcement, Manistee City Council, Manistee County Board of Commissioners and county public schools, along with breaking news.

Manistee County Press is in its infancy at this time. We are looking for someone who is willing to grow with the service. To begin with, the position is a freelance position with stipend being earned through profit sharing. Manistee County Press is owned and operated by Media Group 31, LLC. It is a subscription free service that is funded by revenues generated through advertising sales.
