2 injured following expressway rollover

SUMMIT TWP. — Two people received injuries after a rollover crash on U.S. 31 expressway Friday morning. The crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. A Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling north on the expressway, between the Pere Marquette Highway and Meisnheimer Road overpasses when it left the road, flipped over once and landed on its wheels, according to Michigan State Police on the scene. The male driver and his female passenger received non life-threatening injuries and were transported by Life EMS ambulance to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital.

Also responding were Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Pere Marquette Fire Dept. and Ludington Fire Dept.

The expressway from U.S. 10 to the Oceana County is slippery, especially in the passing lane.
