3 arrested in separate incidents Monday

mcso_logoThe Mason County Sheriff’s Office made three arrests Monday. Below is the activity report from the MCSO for Monday, Jan. 13, 2014:

– 1:23 a.m.: A 35-year-old Novi man was arrested for driving while license suspended first offense, following a traffic stop at Decker and Stephens roads in Custer Twp.

– 3:10 p.m.: Larceny of mail, 8200 block of East Johnson Rd., Branch Twp.

– 7:10 p.m.: A 38-year-old Ludingotn man was arrested and charged with domestic assault, resisting and opposing a police officer and assault. The arrested took place in the 5300 block of Hesslund Rd. in Pere Marquette Twp. after deputies were called there for a domestic assault complaint. Upon arrival by deputies the suspect allegedly resisted the deputy’s attempt to take him into custody by attempting to place his hands around the deputy’s neck to choke him. The suspect was eventually taken into custody and jailed. The deputy received minor injuries to his face, no medical treatment was sought.

– 8:18 p.m.: A 29-year-old Fountain man was arrested for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at Pere Marquette Hwy. and Sixth Street in PM Twp.
