4 arrested over weekend; weather causes numerous traffic hazards

Four people were arrested by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend during separate incidents. The following is the activity report of the MCSO between Jan. 10 and Jan. 12, 2014:

Jan. 10, 2014:

– 1:01 a.m.: Alarm activation, 700 block Quade Road, Grant Twp.

– 10 a.m.: 33-year-old Walhalla man was arrested in Branch Township on a warrant for dangerous drugs/probation violation.

– 11:30 a.m.: Two vehicle head-on crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Meyers Rd., Amber Twp.

– 4:10 p.m.: Hit and run crash, no injuries, Shop-N-Save parking lot, U.S. 10, Pere Marquette Twp.

– 4:10 p.m.: 51-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding probation violation in the City of Ludington.

– 5:25 p.m.: Two-vehicle crash, no injuries, Jebavy and King drives, P.M. Twp.

– 8:05 p.m.: Warrant requested for a 35-year-old woman following retail fraud complaint at Meijer, U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 8:10 p.m.: Numerous vehicle slide-offs, no injuries or damages, Quarterline Road between Townline and Hoague roads, Grant Twp.

– 11:35 p.m.: Vehicle slide off, no injuries/damage, Fisher Rd. and Jebavy Dr., Hamlin Twp.

– 11:58 p.m.: Suspicious situation, 2000 block of West Dewey Rd., Victory twp.

Jan. 11, 2014:

– 1:54 a.m.: Suspicious situation, 2300 block of West U.S. 10, Amber Twp.

– 3:48 a.m.: Suspicious situation, River Meadow’s, PM Twp.

– 9:13 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Freeman roads, Grant twp.

– 9:26 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 and Meyers Rd., PM Twp.

– 10:14 a.m.: Single vehicle crash, no injuries, Quarterline and Hoague roads, Grant Township.

– 11:11 a.m.: Assault, 11000 N. Quarterline Rd., Grant Twp. Case open.

– 2:07 p.m.: 22-year-old Scottville man cited for driving while license suspended, first offense, following traffic stop at U.S. 10 and Amber Rd., Amber Twp.

– 2:49 p.m.: 56-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, following a traffic stop at Fourth and Adams streets in City of Ludington. Man was lodged at Mason County Jail.

Jan. 12, 2014:

– 12:54 a.m.: A 44-year-old Ludington man was arrested on outstanding warrants from Mason County, 300 block of East Court St., City of Ludington.

– 3:22 a.m.: Unwanted person call, 400 block of South Main St., City of Scottville. Case closed.

– 3:26 a.m.: Two minor in possession citations issued at the corner of Lakeshore Dr. and Decker Rd. An 18-year-old Ludington woman and a 20-year-old Ludington man were cited after a deputy found them walking in the road.
