3 arrested over holiday by sheriff’s office

A 30-year-old Branch woman was arrested on a felony warrant New Year’s Eve following a traffic stop at 1:33 p.m. at 143 N. Jebavy Dr. in Pere Marquette Township. Deputies from Mason County Sheriff’s Office made the traffic stop for an equipment violation and ended up arresting a passenger in the vehicle for an outstanding probation violation stemmed from a drug conviction in Allegan County. The woman was lodged in the Mason County Jail awaiting extradition to Allegan County.

A 23-year-old Ludington man was arrested in a separate incident Dec. 31 following a traffic stop at 8:13 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. 31 and LaSalle Road in Grant Township. The driver was charged with possession of marijuana and lodged in the Mason County Jail.

A 34-year-old Scottville man was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended, third offense, following a traffic stop at 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. 10 and PM Hwy. in PM Twp. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

– 9 a.m.: Two vehicle rear-end crash, no injuries, Rath Ave. and Ludington Ave., City of Ludington.

– 11:43 p.m.: Traffic stop resulting in 18-year-old Ludington man being cited for minor in possession of alcohol, Jebavy Dr. and Rasmussen Rd., PM Twp.

Jan. 1

– 12:44 a.m.: Two vehicle broadside crash, no injuries, U.S. 10 west of Jebavy Dr., PM Twp.

– 9:52 a.m.: A 25-year-old Ludington man was cited for having an open alcohol container in a vehicle following a fall for a suspicious vehicle at Washington Ave. and Virnetta Dr. in PM Twp.

– 7:10 p.m.: Assist to Michigan State Police on an assault complaint, 11000 block of North U.S. 31, Grant Twp.
