The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Mason County and other counties south and east effective 1 p.m. today through 4 a.m. Wednesday. Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected today with another 1 to 3 inches tonight. Blowing snow is possible. Motorists are urged to adjust speeds accordingly and to be aware that visibility will decrease to less than a mile.
The advisory includes Mason, Lake, Oceana, Newaygo, Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Allegan, Barry, VanBuren, Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties.
Today: High temperatures today of 28 degrees F; winds with a 100% chance of snow: west at 20 to 30 mph. Low temperatures tonight of 18 degrees with a 60% chance of snow; winds: west-northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunrise: 8:15 a.m. Mostly cloudy with high temperature of 30 degree F. Only a 10% chance of snow with winds southwest at 15 mph. Low temperature overnight of 29 degrees with a 20% chance of snow; winds: south-southwest at 16 mph.
