Christmas activities this weekend in Scottville

SCOTTVILLE — The Christmas season in Scottville kicks off this Saturday. Events will include breakfast with Santa, a parade and kids activities at the Scottville Optimist Hall.

– 8 to 11:30 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa at North Country Cafe.

– 1 p.m.: Parade; lineup at 12:30 p.m. at Scottville Elementary parking lot. Parade travels south on Main Street to the railroad tracks, then ends at the Scottville Optimist Hall. Prizes for first, second and third place.

– 1 to 3 p.m.: Kids activities at Scottville Optimist Hall including entertainment by John Marek, balloons, games and music, hot chocolate and cookies. Drawing for 2 bikes.

– Sponsors include Scottville Optimist Club, Smith & Eddy Insurance, Lewis Family Chiropractic, Cox’s Sales & Service.

The Santa Train will be in Scottville on Dec. 14 at 3 p.m.
