LUDINGTON — The following defendants were sentenced this past week in front of Judge Peter Wadel in Mason County’s 79th District Court:
– Kira Marie Petersen, 20, 1008 N. Brookridge Rd., Ludington was found guilty on Nov. 25 of failure to display a valid license. She received a $275 fine.
– Chad Jason Miller, 43, 404 N. Rath Ave., Ludington, was found guilty on Nov. 21 of disorderly conduct. He received a $285 fine.
– Darren Randall Hodges, 52, 2010 E. Hansen Rd., Custer, was found guilty on Nov. 21 of recreational trespassing. He received a $235 fine.
– Michael Alan Eager, 40, PO Box 181, Branch, was found guilty on Nov. 19 of operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to 30 days discretionary jail for 1 year, serving 1 day. He is not to purchase, possess or consume alcohol or illicit drugs; must continue and complete counseling with community mental health; must attend the next Victim’s Impact Panel and provide proof of completion to the court; must attend Alcoholics Anoymous two times per wek.
– Scott Douglas Klinger, 47, 3713 Independence Dr., Scottville, was found guilty on Nov. 21 of driving while license suspended/revoked/denied. He received a $285 fine.
– Tyler Joel Griffin, 22, 8876 N. 104th Ave., Pentwater, was found guilty on Nov. 20 of DWLS. He was sentenced to 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years, serving 2 days and a $580 fine.
– Mykel Dalton Horsley, 23, 143 N. Jebavy Dr., Apt. 8, Ludington, was found guilty on Nov. 19 for domestic assault and received a sentence of 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years; not allowed to purchase, possess or consume alcohol/illicit drugs; subject to random PBT tests from law enforcement; $580 fine. Additional charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) was dismissed.
– Erin Brooke Peterson, 23, 1068 Pineway, Ludington, was found guilty on Nov. 19 for OWUIL and received a sentence of 93 days discretionary jail for 2 years, serving 2 days; not allowed to purchase, possess or consume alcohol/illicit drugs, must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations, must attend the next Victim’s Impact Panel; must submit to random PBTs by law enforcement; pay $1,145 fine. She was also found guilty of assault and battery and received a sentence of 93 days discretionary jail for 2 years, serving 2 days and must follow the same guidelines as stated above; $580 fine. An additional charge of assault with a dangerous weapon (felonious assault) was dismissed.
– Dewey Gregory Knott, 39, 2388 32nd St., Fountain, was found guilty of controlled substance use (non narcotic). He received a sentence of 90 days discretionary jail for 1 year, serving 2 days; must continue and complete counseling with CMH; must submit to random PBTs from law enforcement; $580 fine. Additional charge of controlled substance possession was dismissed.

– Corey Matthew Pickard, 24, 8849 N. U.S. 31, Free Soil: malicious destruction of trees/shrubs/crop/grass/turf/soil under $200; reckless driving.
