Shakespeare tour coming to art center

laca ludington center for the artsLUDINGTON – The award-winning Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, a touring company based in Grand Haven, will present an evening of Shakespeare scenes at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m.. The performance, the second installment in LACA’s Main Stage Series, will feature scenes from Shakespearean comedies, including such plays as “The Merchant of Venice,” “The Comedy of Errors,” and “The Taming of the Shrew.”

Pigeon Creek actors Kathleen Bode, Kat Hermes, Zachary Carlton Johnson, Scott Lange, Katherine Mayberry, Sarah Stark, and Scott Wright will take on multiple roles in this lively, audience interactive performance. This performance marks the company’s first visit to Ludington, where they will also travel in the spring of 2014 with a performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Tickets for the performance are $12 in advance ($10 for Arts Council Members), and $15 at the door for all tickets. Student pricing is available for this performance at $5.
