Horse dies after hit by car

LOGAN TWP. — Two people received injuries after the vehicle they were in hit a horse on Matson Road this morning around 6 a.m. The accident happened near the intersection of Hawley Road in Carr Settlement. Mason County Sheriff Acting Chief Deputy Steve Hansen said two people received injuries but all four were transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital. The vehicle occupants, two males and two females, were Lake County residents. The horse died as a result of the accident.
