2 arrested in connection with Free Soil breaking & entering

LUDINGTON — Two men have been arrested in connection to a breaking and entering incident in Free Soil. Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Joel Anthony Patterson, 27, Scottville and Christopher Joseph Watson, 30, Ludington, in connection to the incident that took place in the 3500 block of East Hardwood Road on Monday, Oct. 7 between midnight and 6:30 a.m.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle near the crime scene and recovered numerous stolen items from the breaking and entering.

Patterson has been arraigned on charges of home invasion and larceny and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. Watson has been arraigned on charges of home invasion, larceny, driving with a suspended license second offense and habitual offender fourth. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
