UPDATED:
AMBER TWP. — Two people received minor injuries but were transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital following a two car crash at the intersection of U.S. 10-31 and Stiles Road. The crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. and involved five people, including a 4-year-old child. The cars included a Chevy S-10 pick-up and a Pontiac Grand Am.
According to a report from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred after 18-year-old Brianna Nicole Walter, of Fountain failed to yield her vehicle for the traffic light. She was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am west on U.S. 10 and collided with a 2004 Chevy S-10 pickup truck driven by Ray Ivan Griffin Jr. of Ludington. Griffin was heading south on Stiles and attempting to turn east.
Walter’s passenger, Ashley Marie Taylor of Fountain, was not injured. Griffin and his adult passenger, Timothy Griffin of Scottville, were taken to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by ambulance where they were treated and released. A 4-year-old child, who was in Griffin’s vehicle, received minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Scottville Fire Department and Life EMS ambulance all responded.
