LUDINGTON – The following defendants were sentenced this past week in 79th District Court:
– Connor Patrick Nowaczyk, 21, of 1164 Gary St., Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 24 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Alyssa Claire Miller, 35, of 21 Dwight Ave., SE, Apt. 1, Grand Rapids, was found guilty Sept. 24 of impaired driving. She was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
– Abram Neil-Darrin Sodders, 21, of 3343 E. Hansen St., Custer, pleaded no contest Sept. 24 to operating while intoxicated or a under a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail; $1,245 in fines and costs; 93 days discretionary jail for two years; must have a substance abuse evaluation and follow recommendations; must attend Impact Weekend and follow recommendations; no alcohol/drugs; subject random preliminary breath tests (PBTs); and must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) twice a week for two years. Conviction reportable to the SOS. One count of operating with a blood alcohol content of .17 or more was dismissed.
– Nicholas Curtis Butler, 31, of 1265 Bradford St., NE, Grand Rapids, was found guilty Sept. 20 of disorderly person, urinating in public and sentenced to $285 in fines and costs.
– Amanda L. Hutchins, 25, of 321 N. James St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty Sept. 23 of failure to display a valid license and sentenced to $275 in fines and costs.
– Rodney Paul Meeker, 72, of 5666 Highway M-38, Mass City, Mich., was found guilty Sept. 23 of allowing a person to drive in violation and was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs.
– Danielle Ann Dahlke, 27, of 148 Jackson St., Manistee, was found guilty Sept. 17 of third-degree retail fraud. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; outpatient treatment; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and within six months, she may perform 36 hours of community service instead of paying fines and costs.
– Stanley Alfred Bayer, 38, of 1260 W. US-10, Scottville, was found guilty Sept. 17 of operating while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; and must attend the next session of the Victims Impact Panel. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
– Meaghan Marie Morin, 23, of 992 Bradford Grns. Ct., Grand Rapids, was found guilty Sept. 17 of operating while impaired by liquor. She was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,145 in fines and costs; AHSE; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend next session of the Victims Impact Panel; no alcohol/drugs; subject to random PBTs; and subject to random drug tests. Conviction reportable to the SOS.
Dismissals
– Clayton Charles Machiela, 21, of 1964 W. Kistler Rd., Scottville, one count of motor vehicle, unlawful use (two-year misdemeanor), dismissed Sept. 25.
– Adela Velasco-Sanchez, 29, of 3629 E. Jackson Rd., Hart, one count of third-degree retail fraud dismissed Sept. 24.
– Emily Frances Rudnick, 22, of 715 N. Rowe St., Ludington, one count of domestic violence dismissed Sept. 18.
