Scottville man arrested in Oceana

HART – Randy W. Hammond, 36, of Scottville has been charged with felonies for allegedly stealing a 1970s Chevy Nova and a number of other items from an Oceana County residence.

Mlive.com reported a warrant has been signed for Hammond’s arrest.

Hammond has been charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny and as a habitual offender.

The stolen Nova, a tractor, lawn mower and a trailer have been recovered, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office spokesman.

The items were allegedly stolen from a property in Shelby Township last week, Lt. Craig Mast said.
