SCOTTVILLE – West Shore Community College trustee Mike Ennis, of Bear Lake, was recently elected to serve as the chairman of the Michigan Community College Association (MCCA) Board of Directors. Ennis is the first trustee from the college to serve in this capacity and chairs a 56-member board consisting of a trustee director and the chief administrative officer from each of Michigan’s 28 community colleges.
Ennis has served on the WSCC board for the last 15 years and on the MCCA board for 10 years, the last three of which on the executive board.
He is currently the chair of the college’s board policy and personnel committee and serves on the board executive committee. He also serves on the West Shore Community College Foundation Board.
Ennis is the former owner of Axchem Technologies in Manistee. He serves on the board of directors for West Shore Bank and earned his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University.
