Do you have an idea to make Mason County a better place? You can make it happen with a Love Ludington Mini Grant!
Community Foundation of Mason County is giving away four $500 mini grants to be used toward projects, events, programs or activities that will make our community a livelier, more lovable place to be.
If you’ve ever thought “I wish our area had… ,” now is the time to put your community spirit to work and turn that thought into reality.
• Is the neighborhood park calling out for a weekly yoga class, open to all?
• Might a few well-placed chairs invite visitors to engage with one another?
• Thought about sprucing up a dilapidated wall with a mural?
• Is there an alley or parking lot available for movie night or a local group performance?
GUIDELINES:
• The contest is open to anyone – individuals, groups, nonprofits or businesses.
• Ideas must benefit Mason County, its residents and visitors and be inclusive in nature, bringing people together.
• Submit your idea by August 16, 2013. Download our entry form and complete all required items.
• Entries will be posted on facebook.com/loveludington. The four ideas with the most likes by September 2, 2013 will receive $500 apiece!
• The winning applicants will need to provide a more detailed one-page project description and a budget before funds are released. As with all our grants, decisions are subject to Community Foundation for Mason County trustee approval.
TIP:
Search “Lighter Quicker Cheaper Placemaking” for low-cost, high-impact success stories that have been implemented in other communities.
Submission deadline is Aug. 16 and the vote deadline is Sept. 2.
