AMBER TWP. — The Community Foundation of Mason County presents “Love Your Community” a program facilitated by author Peter Kagevama on Thursday, Aug. 8 at the West Shore Educational Service District on U.S. 10-31.
Kagevama has developed an interactive workshop that allows communities to develop their own approaches to becoming a more lovable community. This half day workshop will explore how people connect in their own community, how to improve and maximize that connection and lead more people towards being “in love” with the place they live in, work in and enjoy.
The workshop identifies key community assets including the emotionally engaged citizens that shape the area and develops strategies and tactics to engage these local development resources. Locally based solutions will be emphasized that do not require significant resources and can be quickly implemented.
