LUDINGTON — The following were sentenced this week in 79th District Court:
– Ernest Michael Hernandez, 41, of 4455 W. Hansen Rd., Ludington, pleaded no contest May 28 to second-offense domestic violence. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for two days served; $765 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; must attend Hands-Down program; no alcohol/drugs; must attend Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) twice a week with written verification; no contact with victim; and subject to random preliminary breath tests (PBTs). One count of second-offense DWLS was dismissed.
– Casey Lynn Fortich, 27, of 35 N. Rutledge St., Pentwater, was found guilty May 28 of controlled substance use (non-narcotic). She was sentenced to $580 in fines and costs and a suspended driver’s license for 180 days/restricted 150 days; and 90 days discretionary jail for one year.
– Timothy Joseph Ward, 29, of 241 E. Johnson Rd., Scottville, was found guilty May 28 of domestic violence. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $580 in fines and costs; and 93 days discretionary jail for one year.
– Sarah Leora Marshall, 25, of 100 S. Wildwood Crossing, Apt. 23, Ludington, was found guilty May 30 of DWLS. She was sentenced to $225 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
– Justin Charles Knapp, 36, of 909 Davis St., Manistee, was found guilty May 30 of DWLS. He was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Zachary Robert Hubbard, 19, of 723 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, was found guilty May 28 of OWI and transporting open intoxicants. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $1,145 in fines and costs for count I and $265 for Count II; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); 93 days discretionary jail for one year for Count I and 90 days discretionary jail for Count II; must attend next session of Victims Impact Panel; and no alcohol/drugs. Convictions reportable to SOS.
– Nicholas Daniel DelZoppo, 30, of 1737 N. Lincoln Rd., Ludington, was found guilty May 28 of second-offense OWI. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail with credit for two days served; $1,545 in fines and costs; one year discretionary jail for two years; no alcohol/drugs; random PBTs; random drug tests; subject to jurisdiction of Benzie County Sobriety Court; and may participate in work release if it complies with jail policy. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Corey Evan Carsten, 27, of 8499 M-71 Lot 120, Durand, MI, was found guilty May 31 of disorderly person – public intoxication. He was sentenced to $285 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and no alcohol/drugs.
– Russell Matthew Ambonisye, 26, of 904 N. Washington Ave., Apt. C-6, Ludington, was found guilty May 31 of DWLS. He was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 12 months probation; $265 in fines and costs; and 45 days discretionary jail for one year. Conviction reportable to SOS.
– Gary Allen Nickelson, 44, of 322 N. Park St., Ludington, was found guilty May 30 of disorderly person. He was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; $285 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and 12 months probation.
– Marcelino Gonzalez, 39, of 7761 W. Deer Rd. Mears, was found guilty June 3 of disorderly person – jostling. He was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; and $285 in fines and costs.
– John Allen Gasparas, 65, of 110 S. Taylor Rd., Branch, was found guilty June 3 of allowing a person to drive in violation. He was sentenced to $335 in fines and costs; 90 days discretionary jail for one year; and 12 months probation.
– Lisa Beth Shelly, 51, of 3729 Horton Ave., SW, Grand Rapids, was arrested June 1 by LPD for a misdemeanor of OWI. A pretrial is set for July 1 at 10 a.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
– Paul Stephen Greiner, 17, of 1424 W. Tyler Rd., Hart, was arrested June 3 by MCSO for a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for June 17 at 2:15 p.m. Bail: $2,500/10 percent.
Dismissals
– Elizabeth Orlinda Lump, 40, of 416 E. State St., Scottville, one count of non-sufficient fund check, $100 or more/less than $500, and one count of non-sufficient fund check, less than $100, were dismissed June 3.
