Mother, son reported missing

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a mother and son. Gail Merideth Gerbers, 70 and her son, Gregory John Gerbers, 38, left the Ludington area Thursday en-route to Hammond, Ind. However, they never arrived at their destination. Since they left, there has been no contact with family or friends nor has there been any activity on their credit cards or cell phone.

A missing persons report was filed with the sheriff’s office on Friday at 7:13 p.m.

Gail Gerbers is described as a white female who is 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. She has short reddish-brown hair and brown eyes. Her date of birth is Feb. 14, 1943. Gregory John Gerbers is a white male who is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has short dark brown hair and brown eyes, wears glasses and has Down syndrome. His date of birth is Aug. 28, 1974.

The two left the Ludington area travelling in a light green 2006 Toyota RAV4 station wagon with the Michigan license plate BGF 9073.
