SCOTTVILLE — Tuesdays will be busy this summer in Scottville with an open air market and concerts. The Scottville Farmers’ Market will now be held Tuesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. instead of Saturdays as they have been for the past five years. The market will lead into the traditional Tuesday night Scottville Clown Band Shell concert series, which begin at 7 p.m.
Both the market and the concert series will begin on May 21; the first concert will feature the Mason County Central High School jazz band.
“Scottville’s heritage is agriculture and music,” said Main Street Manager Heather Landis, “combining the two makes perfect sense. We think this is an opportunity to see both activities grow.”
The Scottville Clown Band Shell committee is also planning to host family movie nights on the shell later in the summer. The free movie nights will be held on Friday nights in late July and early August.
