AMBER TWP. — The public is invited to attend a presentation on the future of Agri-Tourism in Mason County on April 18th at 7 p.m. at the Mason County Reformed Church at 45 South Amber Road. The panel will address value-added products and experiences and its effects on business. All agricultural-related businesses and interested individuals are invited to attend.
Panelists include Dr. Bill Anderson, chairman of the Mason County Cultural Economic Development Taskforce; Carole Christofferson, Maple Hill Farm of Riverton Township; Bob Northrup, Amber Elk Ranch of Amber Township; Ron Steiner, The Starting Block of Hart, and Jeff Swanson, Country Dairy of New Era.
The presentation is being organized by the Agri-Tourism Committee of the Mason County Economic Development Taskforce. The committee’s goal in offering this meeting is to discuss and answer questions pertaining to agri-tourism and its benefits. The committee is providing an area to showcase locally made products at the event. There is no charge to attend.
The mission of the Agri-Tourism Committee of Mason County is to establish a unique visitor experience for Mason County through its agricultural operations, interacting with the people who own and manage the land, and enjoying/purchasing products made from locally grown crops or natural resources.
