Letter: Creating bright futures

March 4, 2013

A letter to the editor:

When I think back to when I was younger, there are people who truly made school memorable and left their positive imprint on my life.  I am blessed that my son will also grow up to have those same inspiring experiences.

Starting my son in kindergarten was nerve racking for me as I knew we had some challenges to overcome.  It was extremely important to me that my son be in a very solid educational environment and I am so thankful that is exactly what we got at Lakeview Elementary.

I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher for my son.  Ms. Williams, has played a huge role in my son’s growth both educationally as well as with his behavior.  She has definitely exceeded my expectations and left an impression on my son that will carry on for years.

Mr. Fountain, the Lakeview Elementary principal, has also been such an amazing component in my son’s growth and I can’t thank him enough for everything he does for his students.  He is an exceptional educator who leaves an amazing imprint on the children in his building.

I truly believe Lakeview Elementary is full of incredible educators and I look forward to watching my son continue to blossom with the help of each of them over the next couple of years.

To the staff of Lakeview Elementary, thank you.
