LUDINGTON — The following activity took place in 79th District Court this past week:
– David Duane Bothwell, 36, 6610 E. Danaher St., Apt. 1, Ludington, was found guilty on Feb. 12 for malicious destruction of personal property. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and also received 1 year discretionary jail for 2 years. He also was ordered to pay $740 in costs and fines. Two additional charges of malicious destruction of personal property were dismissed.
– Kevin Dale Douglas, 55, 8510 25.4 Lane, Rapid River, Mich., was found guilty on Feb. 25 for operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. He was sentenced to 3 days jail, 93 days discretionary jail for 1 year; must attend the next session of Victims Impact Panel; must pay $1,154 in fines and costs.
– Dennis Donald Murphy, 62, 5493 W. Rasmussen Rd., Pere Marquette Twp., was found guilty on Feb. 25 for allowing a person to drive in violation. He received a fine of $335.
