One sentenced to prison this week in circuit court

LUDINGTON — One person was sentenced to prison this week in 51st Circuit Court. Here is a summary of the week’s proceedings:

– Garth Allen Kimbler, 42, 5501 W. Rasmussen Rd., Pere Marquette Twp., was sentenced Feb. 5 for the Dec. 11, 2012 conviction of carrying weapons with unlawful intent , felony firearms, malicious destruction of property $1,000 to $20,000 and habitual offender third count. His sentence includes 2 to 10 years, 2 years and 2 to 10 years in prison; $334 in fines/costs.

– William Dale Polston, 45, 6591 W. Sassafras St., Hamlin Twp., was sentenced Feb. 5 for the Dec. 6, 2012 guilty conviction of assault with a weapon and domestic violence. He was sentenced to 365 days jail for each count, running concurrent. He was also ordered to 12 months probation and must pay $598 in fines and costs.

– Aimee Lynn Dold, 34, 210 N. Harrison St., Ludington, was sentenced Feb. 5 for the Dec. 11, 2012 guilty conviction of controlled substance possession. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail, serving 75 days up front and the balance at the court’s discretion; 18 months probation and $398 in fines/costs. Two additional charges of controlled substance possession — one for narcotics and one for marijuana — were dismissed.

– Avel Molina Escamilla, 50, 3645 W. Johnson Rd., Amber Twp., was sentenced Feb. 5 for the Dec. 6, 2012 conviction of two counts assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer and habitual offender third count. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail for the first two counts, running concurrent; he may be released to an inpatient treatment program; placed on 18 months probation; must pay $748 in fines.

– Cathie Ann Funke, 48, 5985 W. Meisenheimer Rd., Summit Twp., was sentenced Feb. 5 for the Dec. 4, 2012 conviction of two counts of financial transaction device stealing/retaining without consent, habitual offender fourth count. She was sentenced to 180 days in jail for each count, serving three months up front and the balance at the court’s discretion, counts are concurrent; 12 months probation; $1,250.26 in fines, costs and restitution.
