Gallie to become new Amber supervisor

AMBER TWP. — Jim Gallie, Sr. was recently appointed as the new Amber Township supervisor, effective Feb. 1. Gallie will replace Larry Donovan, who has been supervisor for over a decade. Donovan is retiring due to health reasons.

Gallie, who has been serving as a township trustee, was appointed during the township board’s meeting earlier this week. He worked several years as the manager of the Ludington Municipal Marina and worked as a Michigan Department of Natural Resources conservation officer before that.
