Nellis sworn in as probate judge

LUDINGTON — Jeff Nellis was sworn in as the new Mason County Probate Court Judge this afternoon at the Mason County Courthouse. All three Mason County judges were present for the ceremony along with a majority of the community’s attorneys.

District Court Judge Peter Wadel and Circuit Court Judge Richard Cooper both spoke encouraging words about Nellis prior to the ceremony, which was overseen by retiring Probate Judge Mark Raven.

Raven’s last official day of service is Friday, due to Christmas week.
