Grandparents Raising Grandchildren fundraisers

Mason County Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Other Kinship Families are having two fundraisers in the month of December.  The first one is a silent auction beginning Friday Nov. 23, 2012.

The bidding board will be in the back entry of the Ludington Public Library.  Bidders should check back often as new items will be added throughout the month.

Final bidding will be on Dec. 31 when the library closes.

The organization is still in need of  more items to be auctioned. If any individuals or businesses would like to donate items for this fundraiser for group activities and needs of the children please contact Jan Wagner at 231-757-9810.

The second activity is Pictures with Santa.

Denyse Briggs will donate her time as the photographer and there will be a cost of $5 per picture.  Paul Tree Farm has donated a tree. Pictures will be at Redolencia Coffee Shop in downtown Ludington on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Each child will be able to chose a stuffed animal after their picture.  This is the second year for the event at Redolencia.
