Bob Simms in hospital

SCOTTVILLE — Well known musician Bob Simms reportedly suffered from a stroke Saturday. Family friend Hagen Dickson confirmed the information.

Bob is known for performing folk music locally but was also a member of the band The Rotary Connection, an American psychedelic soul band formed in Chicago in 1966, which recorded multiple albums. He and his wife Linda live in Scottville.

Bob is owner of Resounding Pebbles Recording Studio, which is located next to his house. Before retiring he worked for the Mason-Lake Intermediate School District as a music therapist.

Hagen said Bob was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital.
