MANISTEE– West Shore Community College has announced a scheduling change for the Peter Yarrow concert.
Due to a scheduling issue with the artist, the date for concert has been changed from Sat., Sept. 29, to Fri., Sept. 28. The concert is at the historic Ramsdell Theatre in Manistee and curtain time remains 7:30 p.m.
Yarrow, of the legendary group Peter, Paul and Mary, is this season’s “headliner” for the 2012-13 Performing Arts Series.
Dr. Rick Plummer, director of the series says, “I apologize for any inconvenience this change has created for our valued arts patrons. Even in this age of instant messaging, scheduling miscommunication occurs and changes are sometimes an unfortunate necessity.”
Those who have already purchased tickets are urged to call the Performing Arts Series ticket office and Plummer adds, “We will do all we can to accommodate those who have already purchased tickets and we will gladly refund money if you are unable to attend on Friday, instead of Saturday.”
Plummer also suggests getting tickets for this concert early, as he predicts it will be a sold-out event.
Tickets are available by stopping by the college box office, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., or Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., or by calling the college box office at 231-843-5507.
