Great weather for yard work

Former Scottville Mayor Leon Begue works in his yard at Scott and Third streets in Scottville Sunday afternoon. Begue said for the past year deer have come into his yard and eaten plants and trees. He was putting up a fence around a cherry tree so the birds could enjoy the cherries instead of the deer. Though the date was Jan. 8, the temperature and sunshine felt more like March.
