Virginia man kicks patrol car windows during OWI arrest.

CUSTER TOWNSHIP – A 25-year-old Glouchester, Virginia man faces several charges after allegedly trying to kick out the Michigan State Police patrol car windows during his arrest on US 10 near Reek Road Friday, May 24, shortly after 5 p.m., said Sgt. Charles Hockanson.

The man faces charges of operating while intoxicated (OWI), driving while license suspended (DWLS), resisting and opposing arrest and malicious destruction of property. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

In a separate incident, a 25-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies on five outstanding Mason County failure-to-appear warrants and methamphetamine possession following a traffic stop Monday, May 27, at 10:25 p.m., at US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway in Pere Marquette Township. His total bond amount on the five warrants is $10,756.25, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. He remains lodged in the Mason County Jail.
