LUDINGTON — A 29-year-old man testified in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, Oct. 24, that he climbed through a window to steal alcohol from a City of Ludington home last month.

Nicholas David Wroble, whose address is listed as “Mason County Jail” in his court file, was arrested September 6 by the Ludington Police Department on a felony charge of second-degree home invasion.

Wroble pleaded guilty Tuesday to an added count of breaking and entering with intent to commit larceny, which carries a 10-year maximum. His plea agreement calls for serving six months up front of a one-year discretionary jail term

Wroble is lodged in jail on a $15,000 cash/surety bond.

After Wroble’s attorney, David Glancy, made the request, Mason County Prosecutor Paul Spaniola agreed that Wroble can be released from jail into a treatment facility if a bed is available.

“Basically I was out of my mind,” Wroble told Judge Susan K. Sniegowski during his testimony about the crime.

Sentencing is set for Dec. 12 at 1:45 p.m.
