Lakeshore Resource Network collecting back to school supply donations.

The Lakeshore Resource Network is collecting donations of school supplies for area students heading back to school in the fall. Supplies will be used in a backpack program providing students in need with a backpack filled with the basic school supplies, and other goods . Backpacks will be distributed to middle school and high school students at Ludington, Mason County Central, Mason County Eastern and Gateway to Success Academy. This program is sponsored in part by a grant from the Youth Advisory Council in Mason County to the Lakeshore Resource Network.

From August 8-19, there will be drop off points at local businesses where people can drop off new or un-used school or office supplies.

Suggested Donations Include:

• Pencil Sharpeners
• Erasers
• Highlighters
• Notebooks
• Folders
• Rulers
• Scissors
• Glue Sticks
• Trapper Keepers
• Pencil Pouches
• Calculators
